Consumers call for price control on Nigeria products

Consumers in Ilorin, the Kwara state capital have called on the federal government to as a matter of urgency create price control system on made in Nigeria products.
A consumer at Oja-tuntun market, Mrs Deborah Oluwadamilare lamented that Nigeria manufacturers now hide under the dollar exchange rate to exploit Nigerians.
Oluwadamilare stated that some made in Nigeria products such as plastic products, groundnut oil, noodles, Nylon, flour, sugar, among others have increased in prices.
Another consumer Mr Chinedu Emeka explained that the increase in the exchange rate remains an advantage for Nigeria products in the market. He however called on the president who he said has been calling for improvement in made in Nigeria to mandate all his cabinet to start using made in Nigeria products.
As reported by our correspondent Olarotimi Oshin, the consumers called on consumer protection agency to rise up and protect consumer interest.
