The management of the University of Ibadan on Wednesday said it has no intention of making life unbearable for the university community through the recent screening exercise introduced at the institution’s gates. The university’s Director of Communication, Mr Olatunji Oladejo, said in Ibadan that the measure is in response to the threat by an unknown group to launch bomb attacks on its campus. Security personnel have been stationed at the entrance of the university and are searching students and visitors entering the institution. Oladejo, who said the university is not taking the threat for granted, added that this informed the security beef up in and around the university. He said that the campus security service has been complementing the efforts of other security agencies in ensuring security on the campus.
