The National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) is to reopen its orientation camp in Yobe State five years after it was shut down due to activities of the Boko Haram insurgents.
Yobe State NYSC coordinator, Mr Jauro David, disclosed this during a courtesy call to the emir of Fika and chairman of council of chiefs, Dr Muhammadu Idrissa, at his palace in Potiskum, Yobe state.
He said that this year’s 2016 National Youths Service will hold in the state because of the return of peace across the state. He however called on the state governor Ibrahim Gaidam to renovate the Orientation Camp.
Responding, the emir assured them that he would liaise with the state Governor Gaidam and other stakeholders to ensure that this year orientation camp is held in the state without any fear.
