Kwara state Government Pledges Support For Adolescents

Kwara State Government has again reiterated it’s commitment to take the well-being of the adolescents within the state to a new level through the budgetary provision in the 2023 Budget to combat the scourge affecting the growth of the children.
This was contained in a statement made by the Commissioner For Planning and Economic Development, Remilekun Banigbe during the courtsey visit paid by the Kwara State Primary Health Care Development Agency as it commemorates International Adolescent Health Week .
Banigbe said adolescents constitute major part of the population of Kwara State and issues concerning them is always a top priority for the current administration through the enactment of adolescents friendly policies.
She stated that the Government will continue to provide support to the adolescents on chalenges bedeviling their physical and mental growth describing the adolescent stage as the most critical in child’s development.
