The Alapa of Agbonda Eku Apa in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, Oba Johnson Iranloye, has urged the state political leader and President of the Senate, Dr Bukola Saraki, to consider politicians who havevision for community service for recruitment into offices in the next political dispensation.
Oba Iranloye stated this in Agbonda at the Empowerment Programme organized by the state Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Olabode Adekanye. According to the monarch, the likes of the Senator representing Kwara South Senatorial District, Dr. Rafiu Ibrahim, should be allowed to return because of his good representation of the people at the grass roots.
The monarch said the call became imperative to ensure that people with good intention to make positive impact in the lives of the masses are brought on board.
The traditional ruler, who expressed hope that the society will be better if people with brighter mind are entrusted with public offices also showered encomium on the legislator for identifying with Agbonda community in his programmes. He therefore enjoined other office holders to emulate Senator Ibrahim’s humanitarian services with a view to making life worth living for the people.
