The Kogi State Government has viewed as sabotage a statement by the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and the Trade Union Congress, TUC, directing civil servants in the state to embark on an industrial action with effect from today.
A statement issued by the Commissioner for Information, Culture and Tourism, Honorable Mohammed Awwal Imam, recalled that the payment of arrears of salaries commenced two weeks ago, stressing that forty-eight MDAs out of the total fifty-five MDAs have been paid, while seven MDAs are yet to be paid because the correct grade levels of the workers are being verified. It said the patience Kogi State workers have endured should not be thrown away by accepting the strike action.
