President Muhammadu Buhari
President Muhammadu Buhari surprised members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) Wednesday morning as he arrived the council chambers for the council’s meeting at about nine-fifty a.m. Only about nineteen out of the thirty-six ministers were in attendance when the meeting started.
Immediately he stepped in, the President noted the absence of most of the council members and jokingly said “I came too early,” as he asked members in attendance to recite the National Anthem. At the meeting however, a two hundred million dollar World Bank infrastructural development loan was approved for Lagos state.
