AFC Leopards players resumed training today 2nd of march ahead of upcoming Kenyan Premier League (KPL) matches.
The players had boycotted training for the past one week owing to unpaid dues for a couple of months. On Friday 27 February, Ingwe received a loan from the KPL and were able to settle a month’s salary arrears.
The club’s Deputy Secretary General Prof. Asava Kadima says the players agreed to resume training as the club continue to look for a long term solution to their financial problems.
The players have agreed to resume training today, we paid a portion of the arrears we owed them and we agreed that they continue training as we seek a long term solution to our financial problems, he said.
