ZENDAYA BECOMES YOUNGEST EMMY WINNER FOR LEAD ACTRESS

American actress and singer, Zendaya Maree Stoermer Coleman professionally known as Zendaya has bagged an Emmy win making her the youngest winner for the lead actress category.

The win came from her role as ‘rue’ in the highly acclaimed teen drama, ‘Euphoria’ tackling the troubles of growing up: puberty, drugs, peer pressure etc.

She started off on the small screen working for Disney on the showstitled ‘shake it up’ in 2010 alongside ‘Bella Thorne’. She also starred in another Disney channel classic ‘KC Undercover’.

Zendaya got her big break in the Spider-Man franchise, ‘Homecoming’ and went ahead to be a part of ‘The Greatest Showman’ both released in the same year.

She is the recipients of other awards including: multiple Kids Choice Awards, Teen Choice awards, Peoples choice awards for her role as rue in ‘Euphoria’ among others.

The Emmys nomination list was released back in july. The award ceremony strictly adhered to the norm of social distancing as nominees tuned in from all over the world.
