Yuletide: Federal Government to open Second Niger Bridge December 15

Written by on December 7, 2022

The Federal Government has fixed Thursday the 15th of December, 2022 as the date for the opening of the Second Niger Bridge.

The announcement was made by the federal controller of works in Delta State, Jimoh Olawale, in an interview with reporters today.

He, however, noted that the bridge would be open for only 30 days.

According to him, the bridge, which is 95 per cent done, will be opened to ease traffic during the Christmas and New Year celebrations.

Recall that the Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, disclosed plans earlier to open the bridge for travelling motorists during the festive period.
