Trump calls US court system ‘unfair’ after ‘dreamers’ ruling

President Donald Trump today lashed out at the US judicial system as “broken and unfair” after a federal judge in the state of California blocked his decision to end a program that protects so-called “Dreamers” from deportation.
Judge William Alsup said on Tuesday that the immigration policy established by the administration of former President Barack Obama must remain in place while litigation over Trump’s decision to end the program plays out.
Earlier, the White House had called the ruling “outrageous,” coming the same day Trump met lawmakers from both camps on the so-called Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, program.
The DACA program, instituted by Trump’s predecessor Barack Obama in 2012, protects from deportation hundreds of thousands of immigrants who arrived in the country illegally as children.
