as long queues persist in Ilorin filling stations, an appeal has gone to truck drivers to reduce their speed while approaching the stations that are dispensing fuel. This appeal came following the alleged deliberate high speed of truck drivers while approaching such filling stations with such a long queue.
Our correspondent Olarotimi Oshin who has been going round to monitor the situation reports that a truck driver deliberately destroy a motorcycle which had queued for fuel at Oando filing station along Surulere area of Ilorin.
It would be recalled that an Okada rider was reportedly killed in Ogidi area of Ilorin by an on-coming tipper last weekend.
It was reported that lots of drivers have been sleeping in feeling stations in the past five weeks while searching for fuel.
The residents of Ilorin however called on President Muhammadu Buhari to bring lasting solution to the crisis, noting that it has been a long time that Nigerians experienced such level of hardship occasioned by fuel scarcity.
