Terrorists attacks Kwara Community, abducts two children

Gunmen have abducted two sons of a scrap dealer, Lukman Aliyu, in Aseyori community, Alagbado area of Kwara State. Reports gathered that over six hoodlums invaded the residence of the victims around 12 midnight and shot sporadically in the process.

Speaking with journalists on Sunday, Mr Aliyu and his wife, Sarat, confirmed the incident and said those abducted were Quadir, aged 15, and Muideen, aged 12.

He added that alongside the children that were abducted, the terrorists carted away with four phones and have contacted them demanding 20 million naira ransom.

Mr. Aliyu further stated the incident is the third kidnapping case in weeks in the area, adding that residents have abandoned their properties for fear of being kidnapped.

When contacted, the Kwara Police Public Relations Officer, Ajayi Okasanmi denied having knowledge of the said case, noting that the case might not have been reported at the command headquarters.
