Tanke Flyover Bridge: Motorists, traders lament disruption in flow of traffic, call for more alternative roads
Written by Olarotimi Oshin on July 4, 2022
After about five months of work on the Tanke flyover bridge in Tipper Garage, Motorists and Traders expressed concern over the impacts of the ongoing construction on their daily activities.
Speaking to RoyalFM Correspondents, motorists frowned at the pace at which the work is moving, saying there are doubts the construction of the bridge will be completed in twelve months as stated by the State Government.
Others lamented the unavailability of an alternative road, causing a lot of traffic on the Awolowo Road and havoc on their cars, thereby affecting their source of income.

Also, traders at the Tipper Garage market call on the State Government to inform the engineers on-site to hasten the construction of the bridge and find a solution to traffic caused by the ongoing construction of the flyover bridge.
However, an attempt to speak to the lead Engineer or any of the engineers on-site proves abortive as they claim they are not in the position to speak to the team.
While some residents of the community approached by our correspondents also failed to air their opinion, claiming the engineers do buy them some things.
