Staff of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, were surprised today when the senator representing Kaduna Central, ShehuSani, stormed their office withtwo packs of anti-snake venom and offered the services of two snake charmers, days after a staff claimed a missing thirty-six million naira was eaten by snake.

The exams board said it suspended the staff, Philomena Chieshe, at its Makurdi office following the bizarre claim. In reaction to the development, Sani said if a snake can actually swallow N36 million one day Nigerians may wake up in to see that a snake has swallowed the foreign reserve or the money gathered in the TSA.

JAMB spokesperson, Fabian Benjamin, said the board is dealing with more frivolous stories like Miss Chieshe’s.He advised Nigerians against trivializing the issue, saying people should weep for this country where people could be that mischievous. He added that the accused staff is currently undergoing disciplinary procedures and would be handed over to security agencies after the minister’s approval.

Meanwhile, JAMB has closed registration for the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination but said candidates who obtained pins but have not been able to register, have the next few hours to complete their registration as no complaints would be entertained afterwards.
