The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP, yesterday hailed the publication of the list of recovered funds, but insisted that the Federal Government should publish names of those involved. Beside, SERAP charged the government to channel the funds for concrete projects for positive development towards the establishment of a culture of transparency and accountability in government.
In a statement by its Executive Director, Tokunbo Mumuni, SERAP, said publishing the names of high-ranking public officials involved will be in line with international standard, recognizing that naming those involve will shame them and prevent future occurrence and also discourage any form of looting or re-looting of the recovered funds.
