The Pharmacists Council of Nigeria has warned patent medicine vendors against prescribing drugs, injecting their customers or selling drugs outside the approved list given to them. The Registrar of the Council, N.A.E Mohammed, said this in Osogbo on Wednesday at the opening of the orientation course for one hundred and ten newly licensed patent medicine vendors.
The registrar, who was represented by the Director, South West Zonal Office of the PCN, Mrs. Yejide Oseni, said the council will not relent in ensuring that the unwholesome practices by medicine vendors are stopped. He urged the vendors not to violate any of the laws put in place to regulate their practice, saying anyone caught will be dealt with according to the law.
