Petition On Blockage Of Frontage Of Former Savannah Bank Building Laid On Kwara Assembly Table

The Report of the House Committee on Land, Housing and Urban Development on a Petition Titled, “Re: Blockage of Frontage of former Savannah Bank Building, Yoruba Road, Ilorin” was today  presented and laid on the Table of the Kwara State House of assembly.

The reports was presented by the Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Awodiji Omotayo Felix representing Irepodun. The Honourable House therefore considered the Report at the Committee of Whole.

The proceeding was presided over by the  Speaker of the House, Right Honourable Engineer Yakubu Danladi Salihu.

Royal FM correspondent , olarotimi oshin reports that the speaker  directed Geographic Information Services to open up the obstructed access road to former Savannah Bank Ltd. building on property lying and being at Yoruba Road, Ilorin, covering C of O and Plan No. R of O Kw 142 for the use of the owners (former Savannah Bank Ltd) and the public.

The speaker Urged the Owners of the property (The defunct Savannah Bank Ltd) to live up to the promise to compensate Mr. Taiwo Adekunle by allowing him to occupy part of the space within the property for free for a period of 24 months as agreed at the meeting with the House Committee on Lands, Housing and Urban Development.
