The Serving Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church, Pastor Tunde Bakare said the outcome of the 2023 elections showed that Nigerians are tired of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC. 

Pastor Bakare stated this during a State of the Nation Broadcast, themed, “Vice, Virtue & Time: Three Things That Never Stand Still,” delivered at the church at Ikeja, Lagos on Sunday.

The cleric and politician,  who contested at the 2022 presidential primary of the APC, said the ruling party had deviated from the principles it was founded on.

Bakare said the fact that the votes polled by the APC during the 2023 presidential election declined from what it had in 2015 and 2019, was an indication that there was a loss of support base for the party.
