Ondo police begin investigation as decomposing bodies of lovers found in toilet

The Ondo State Police Command on Saturday said it had commenced investigation into the death of three people in their house located in Akure, the state capital.

The decomposing bodies of the three deceased which include two lovers, identified as Ojo Akinro and Mary lgwe together with their friend Lamidi Sheriff were found dead in their house at Aralusi quarters of Akure.

According to a source, the bodies were found in the toilet of their house which gave the impression that they were murdered by some unidentified assailants.

The source narrated that after a few days without seeing them, the family and friends of the deceased became apprehensive as all the telephone calls put across to them rang out without a response from either of the deceased.

The source said, “When there was no response to the phone calls, their relatives decided to visit their residence where they met the front door locked and had to break it down to access the flat.

“After searching all the rooms, they later discovered their dead bodies inside the toilet where they were dumped by the killers. So raised the alarm which attracted their neighbours.”

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Funmi Odunlami, who confirmed the incident, said it was a case of murder and investigation had commenced into it.

“This is a case of murder and police detectives have commenced investigation,” PPRO declared
