Ogun plans mobile clinic in rural communities

The Ogun State Government has commenced plans to inaugurate mobile clinic services for rural communities in the state. According to a statement on Wednesday, the initiative is to bring quality health care service delivery closer to the people.
The statement said the Commissioner for Health, Dr Babatunde Ipaye, made the disclosure at a ceremony to mark the end of the February 2016 Immunization Plus programme in the Ifo Local Government Area of the state.
Ipaye revealed that the state government will renovate the two health centres in the council, adding that the Ifo General Hospital will be given a facelift.
He said the Community Base Health Insurance Scheme, ‘Araya’, will be re-inaugurated in Ifo in order for the people to benefit from health campaign programmes of the state government.
The Olu of Ifo, Oba Samuel Oladipupo, who was represented by Chief Lawal Adebeshin, appreciated the gesture and effort of the state government and enjoined mothers and caregivers in the council area to always make their children available for immunization.
