Obafemi Awolowo University Students ‘Union tells Federal Government to honor ASUU agreement

The Students’ Union of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile -Ife, on Tuesday, asked the Federal Government to honour the agreement it had with the Academic Staff Union of Universities.
In a statement signed by the President, Olayiwola Folahan Festus; the Public Relations Officer, Ogunperi Taofeek; and the Secretary-General, Odewale Samuel, the union unapologetically told the Federal Government to honour the agreements it had with ASUU.
The union said it was intolerant of the failure of the government to address the demands of the striking lecturers.
They, however, disclosed that the pandemic and ASUU strike had dealt a huge blow on the country’s education.
