Nigeria Professional Football League leaders Wikki Tourists tasted defeat for the first time in six games following a two-nil loss against Plateau United in a match day twenty-four fixture at the Rwang Pam Stadium, Jos on Sunday. In another week twenty-four game, Kano Pillars trounced Abia Warriors five-nil at the Sani Abacha Stadium.
In Ibadan, Shooting Stars were held to a two-two draw by FC IfeanyiUbah who came from two goals down to rescue a point in the game. At the Akure Township Stadium, Dele Olorundare hit a brace as Sunshine Stars sent MFM FC back to Lagos empty handed courtesy of a two-nil win.
Nasarawa United also beat Niger Tornadoes one-nil courtesy of Abdulrahman Bashir’ s first half strike.
