The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has announced a total of ten thousand, seven hundred and forty-five suspected cases of cholera, including two hundred and fifty-six deaths, so far in 2022.
The NCDC disclosed this on its Cholera Situation weekly epidemiological report for week thirty-nine posted on its official website, on Tuesday. The report revealed that thirty-one States have reported suspected cholera cases in 2022.
The states are Abia, Adamawa, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi, Bayelsa, Benue, Borno, Cross River, Delta, Ekiti, Gombe, Imo, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Katsina, kebbi, Kwara, Lagos, Nasarawa, Niger, Ondo, Osun, Oyo, Plateau, Rivers, Sokoto, Taraba, Yobe and Zamfara.
In the reporting month, nine states reported four thousand, one hundred and fifty-three suspected cases.
