Nigeria Labour Congress, Trade Union Congress, Other Affiliate To Meet Today, Plan To Announce Suspension Of Strike

Following a meeting representative of the federal government on Monday night, the Nigeria Labour Congress has suspended the planned nationwide strike action on Wednesday.
Speaking with RoyalFM News, comrade Usman Rasheed, the Treasurer of the Kwara state chapter said the organized labour is planning to meet with the Trade Union Congress (TUC) and other affiliates today by 2:00pm and announce the suspension of the strike.
He added that the decision was taken after the federal government agreed to constitute a committee which will comprise the organized labour and government officials to look into the demands of the workers.
