NDLEA seizes tramadol worth One billion naira at Lagos airport

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has intercepted two million four hundred and sixty-five thousand (2,465,000) tablets of 225 and 250 milligrams of tramadol  weighing two thousand three hundred and fifty six 2,356 kilograms smuggled through the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos State.

According to the NDLEA spokesperson, Femi BABAFEMI, in a recent statement, the seizure, which took place on Friday, was worth over one billion naira in street value.

This is coming barely a week after about 13.5 million pills of the same substance worth over 8.8 billion were recovered by operatives of the NDLEA from one of the mansions of a billionaire drug baron in Victoria Garden City, Lagos.
