Movement in groups barred at Ilorin Eid ground

As Muslim faithful in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital join their counterparts across the globe to commemorate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir tomorrow, prospective worshippers moving in groups would not be allowed into the Ilorin Eid Prayer Ground during Eid-el-Kabir festivities.
The worshippers will observe two prerogative rakats at the sacred ground to mark the festival.
In a statement issued in Ilorin today, the Chairman, Ilorin Eid Committee, Dr Abdulrazaq Amuda; and Mahmud Soliu of Special Services Directorate of Governor’s office, Ilorin, said worshippers are to come to the prayer ground individually and comport themselves in a good manner.
The statement also proscribed leaflets, banners of either political parties or organizations at the Eid ground, threatening arrest and prosecution of any offender.
It said vehicles with spy number plates would be disallowed access into the prayer ground.
