Kwara state to hold second Harmony Agric international trade fair

In a bid to increase agricultural output in Kwara state, the Harmony Holdings Limited is set to hold the state second Harmony Agric international trade fair between the twelfth and fifteenth of November, 2017.

 

Speaking on Monday at a press conference, the head of Agric division, Harmony Holding Limited, Mrs Iyabo Amaajo said the aim of the Agric international fair is to invite foreign investors into the state.

 

While noting that the trade fair will also enable farmers in the state to have better understanding of farming and means of making good profit, Mrs Amaajo said eight hundred farmers are expected to participate in the trade fair. She added that the trade fair is another opportunity to link Kwara farmers with foreign investors.

In his remarks, the director general of micro-small and medium scale enterprises, Mr Segun Soewu said the trade fair is part of the state government’s strategies to encourage entrepreneurs, as well as partnering with foreign agricultural experts.
