Kwara NUJ Condoles Emir Of Ilorin Over Death Of Chief Security Officer

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Kwara State Council has commiserated with the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, over the demise of his Chief Security Officer, ASP Adebayo Olowoyo.

In a statement issued in Ilorin, the state NUJ Chairman, Abdullateef ‘Lanre Ahmed and Secretary, Omotayo Ayanda, said the union was aware that the demise of Olowoyo, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, caught the Palace with rude shock going by several years that the deceased served the Emir of Ilorin with dedication and utmost professionalism.

The NUJ noted that ASP Olowoyo did his best to ensure adequate security of lives and property in and within the precincts of the Palace of the Emir of Ilorin.

While describing the death as a trying moment for the traditional ruler, the union prayed to Almighty God to give Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari the fortitude to endure the colossal loss.
