Kwara Rebuilders, a pro-democracy group, has berated People’s Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate Shuaibu Yaman Abdullah for allegedly arm-twisting people in his community to get their support for his gubernatorial bid.
Abdullah hails from Shonga in Edu Local Government Area of Kwara North.
According to the statement released by the group on Tuesday, they received threats from suspected people loyal to the PDP candidate during their ongoing door-to-door campaign for Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq and all other candidates in Kwara North senatorial district.

Publicity Secretary of the group added that members of the group could not use the van and play loud musical jingles around the community during their engagement in Shonga after they received several warning calls from anonymous sources.
While expressing concerns over the forthcoming polls, the group demanded that adequate security should be provided in Shonga and Edu local government to forestall violence in some places before, during, or after the polls.
