Kwara Civil Servants to hold Endurance Trek to Commence the 3rd Civil Service Games

As a significant activity to kick off the third Civil Service Games, arrangements have been made by the Kwara State Government for the civil servants in the State to hold an endurance trek on Wednesday, the sixth of November, 2019.
In a press statement by the Press Secretary, Ministry of Sports and Youth Development, Dr. Sangodare Ayinla, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Alhaji AbdulQuadir Akanbi, said that the endurance trek, which is a rite of commencement for the Civil Service Games, will be conducted by the Kwara State Head of Service, Mrs. Suzan Modupe Oluwole.
Commending Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for resuscitating the Championship and appreciating the civil servants in the State for their usual cooperation, the Permanent Secretary called on the participants to gather in front of the Governor's Office from where the exercise will begin at 8:00 am tomorrow.
Alhaji Akanbi noted that the endurance trek will cover routes via the Government House, Flower Garden, Post Office and back to the starting point. He added that the endurance exercise serves as a means of warming up for the athletic games as well as igniting the spirit of sportsmanship among the civil servants in the State.
