Inter Milan midfielder Felipe Melo has been banned for three matches by the FA for aiming a kung-fu kick at Lazio’s Lucas Biglia.
The Brazil international player received a straight red card for the ninth minute incident that came moments after he had given away a penalty for a foul on Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. Melo will now miss matches against Empoli, Sassuolo and Atalanta
FA club stated also that West Bromwich Albion forward James McClean and Salomon Rondon has been suspended for three matches.
The pair was sent off during Saturday’s two to one home defeat by Bournemouth in the Premier League, Irish international McClean for serious foul play and Venezuelan Rondon for violent conduct.
McClean and Rondon will miss Saturday’s match at Swansea City, the home game with Newcastle United on Monday and a visit from Stoke City on the second of January.
