Insecurity : NSCDC warns Kwara residents, as kidnappers kidnap three with keke napep in Ilorin

Following cases of security threat in Kwara state and Nigeria at large, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has called on Kwara residents to be vigilant while boarding tricycles popularly called Keke Napep.
The call became imperative after a reported abduction of three people with keke napep in Oja Oba Ilorin .
It was gathered that the abduction reportedly took place around 7pm on the 9th of November 2022 when three victims a young woman, one elderly woman, and a young boy were repprtedly taken to the bush.
A short gun was reportedly pointed at the victims while onboard the tricycle before they were said to have taken been to an unknown destination where they were reportedly tortured.
As reported by Royal FM correspondent, Olarotimi Oshin, one of the victims Mrs Abulatif Ramat who narrated her ordeal said she boarded the Keke Napep from Oja Oba en route Lanre Gada, Ilorin.
Meanwhile , Assistant Commandant of the Corps in Kwara state, Makinde Yusuf said men of the civil Defence were able to rescue the victims. He said a brand new motorcycle use for operations by the suspects was recovered at the bush.
Yusuf said the rescue was possible following surveillance and information received even as he warned residents to be vigilant and security conscious when in a commercial vehicle.
