Immigration to arrest former political office holders in possession of diplomatic passports

The Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), Muhammed Babandede has ordered the immediate arrest of all former political office holders in possession of diplomatic passports.
The NIS boss said at a news conference in Abuja that so far, one hundred and fifty-eight diplomatic passports and three hundred and ten official passports have been retrieved. Mr Babandede announced several reforms and punitive measures that will be meted out to curb bribery and corruption within the service as well as a renewed pledge to tighten the nation’s borders and boost internal security.
