The Federal Government has described the decision by the members of the National Association Of Nigerian Students to block the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway as Illegal.
It is recalled that On Tuesday, the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) besieged the road to protest over the lingering Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) strike.
Reacting to the development , the Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola while addressing State House reporters after the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) in Abuja faulted the action, adding that constitution protects citizens’ right to public protests but does not empower anyone to inflict pain and inconvenience on others.
The Minister also confirmed the government has ordered the buyers of two under-priced public properties in Lagos to pay the defrencials of the real value of the properties.
