Gunmen Abducts Chief Imam Of Ondo Community

The police in Ondo State have confirmed the abduction of Ibrahim Bodunde-Oyinlade, the chief imam of USO community in Owo Local Government Area of the state.
It was gathered that the 67-year-old cleric was abducted on his farm at Asolo Farm Camp on Saturday afternoon.
Explaining what transpired, a family member, who spoke on condition of anonymity said they reported to the police when Mr Bodunde-Oyinlade did not return home by 2 p.m. and he did not answer his calls.
He added that the kidnappers have contacted the family but are yet to demand ransom.
Reacting to the incident, Olufunmilayo Odunlami-Omisanya, the police spokesperson in Ondo, said police officers and vigilantes were combing the forest in search of the chief imam.
Mr Odunlami-Omisanya added the Police and local security operatives found the victim’s car and mobile phone on the farm.
