Group calls on Kwara Government To Reintroduce Rural Allowance For Teachers

With few days left for the resumption of activities in Primary and Secondary Schools in Kwara State, the Council of Muslims Organization in collaboration with Jama’atu Nasril Islam, and the National Association for Teachers of Arabic and Islamic Studies in Kwara State called on the Kwara State Government to Reintroduce Rural Allowance For Teachers to encourage them to take up the responsibility of going to the rural areas.
The group made the call during a One-Day workshop organsied on the 10th of Safar, 1444 to serve as a refresher course for the Teachers of Arabic and Islamic Studies in Kwara State.
After the seminar, the group commended the state government for the constitution of the Board of Arabic and Islamic Studies under the Chairmanship of Professor Moshood Mahmood Jimba.
They, however, urged the Ministry of Education to put machinery in motion to review the syllabus of Arabic and Islamic Studies at primary and post primary level in the state.
