The Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has ordered the immediate suspension of the Chairman of the Osun State Independent Electoral Commission, Mr. Segun Oladitan.
According to a statement signed and released to reporters on Monday by the Secretary to the State Government, Tesleem Igbalaye, six other members of the Commission were also suspended with immediate effect.
Meanwhile, the suspension was said to have been based on several petitions bothering on financial impropriety, dereliction of duty, absenteeism and abuse of office against the said Chairman and members of the Commission.
Barely 24 hours after his inauguration, the new Governor of Osun, Senator Ademola Adeleke approved the sacking of 12,000 workers, 30 Permanent Secretaries and ordered the dethronement of three monarchs.
The affected monarchs include Akinrun of Ikinrun Oba Yinusa Akadiri; Aree of Ire Oba Ademola Oluponle and Owa of Igbajo, Oba Gboyega Famodun. He ordered the monarch to vacate the palace, asking security operatives to take over.

According to a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to Governor Adeleke, Olawale Rasheed today stated that the new Governor signed the Executives order noting that the dethroned monarchs are; Akinrun of Ikinrun Oba Yinusa Akadiri; Aree of Ire Oba Ademola Oluponle and Owa of Igbajo, Oba Gboyega Famodun.
It could be recalled that Osun immediate past Adegboyega Oyetola employed over 12,000 workers and appointed 30 permanent secretaries weeks before leaving office.
