Governing Council of Unilorin Loses Chairman

The Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council of the University of Ilorin, Mallam Abidu Yazid, is dead.
According to a statement signed today by the Registrar and Secretary to the Council, Dr Fola OLOWOLENI, the governing council chairman died in the early hours of today in his house after a brief illness.
The Registrar also prayed for the repose of his soul and also prayed God to grant him eternal rest.
Meanwhile, the last assignment undertaken by Yazid led governing council was the appointment of Professor Wahab EGBEWOLE as the Vice-Chancellor designate of the university on September 8, 2022.
