The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has urged the present administration under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to engage in genuine dialogue with organised labour and other stakeholders over petroleum subsidy removal to reach a fair and reasonable solution.
The party gave the advice in a communique at a retreat for the elected officials on its platform, held on Saturday in Bauchi.
The PDP in the communique, signed by its acting National Chairman, Amb. Umar Damagum, made available to newsmen expressed concerns over what it described as the quick removal of the subsidy and the lack of adequate consultation.
