Friends, Families pay last respect to late Akanbi at Janaza prayer

Friends and families paid their last respect to late Professor Muhammed Mustapha Akanbi on Monday evening at the Janaza prayer observed at Justice Mustapha Akanbi’s residence ,GRA Ilorin.
Speaking to Royal Times after the Janaza prayer led by the Chief Imam of Kwara State, uncle of the deceased, Baba Oniyo Akanbi grieved over what he called the untimely exit of the late Vice Chancellor of Kwara state University, describing him as a role model to the younger generation.
Mallam Umaru Yusuf Aiyelabegun, a family friend of the deceased who spoke on the lifestyle of the deceased said late Akanbi was intelligent and devoted most of his life to academics and humanity
Kwara state Governor AbdulRaman AbdulRazaq, Founder Royal FM Engineer Gbenga Adebayo were among the dignitaries who attended the prayers. Professor Akanbi, who was until his death the Vice Chancellor of the Kwara State University (KWASU), died at a hospital in Lagos on Sunday (November 20, 2022) after a brief illness. Aged 51, he is survived by wife and children
