Former Eagles Coach Says Senegal Can Cope Without Injured Mane

Ahead of the clash against the Dutch National Team, former Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr believes the Terangha Lions of Senegal will still do well at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar without their talismanic forward, Sadio Mane.

Recall that Bayern Munich Striker, Sadio Mane has been ruled out of the competition as a result of injury. The Terangha Lions will open their 2022 campaign today against the Netherlands in group A, that also has hosts Qatar and Ecuador.

Speaking on the chances of Senegal progressing to the knockout stage, the German said Senegal has several quality players to propel them to the next round of the tournament in the absence of the former Liverpool star.

Rohr further stated that the Senegalese National Team have a very strong defense headed by Kalidou Koulibaly.

Ghana, Cameroon, Morocco and Tunisia are the other teams from the continent that will compete at the competition.
