A forensic analysis has confirmed the authenticity of the viral video that allegedly shows former Kano State Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje receiving bundles of dollar notes as a bribe.
In a two-minute viral video in 2017, Ganduje was allegedly seen pocketing large wads of American dollars in what is said to be bribe payments from public works contractors before rolling them into his white ‘babanriga’ dress.
Ganduje, however, denied the video’s contents and maintained his innocence after the video surfaced. The Chairman of the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission, Muhuyi Rimingado, said the alleged Ganduje bribery video has been subjected to forensic analysis, and confirmed that the video was not doctored.
