The Federal Government’s job portal, “N-Power.gov.ng”, which was launched at the weekend has already recorded over four hundred thousand successful registrations within thirty-six hours.
A statement signed by the Senior Special Assistant to the Vice President on Media and Publicity, Laolu Akande, in Abuja, on Monday, said the government was impressed by the enthusiasm shown by applicants.
Akande however denied that the site had any hitch during application process. He also stated that all together the website has received over thirty-five million hits since Saturday midnight.
N-Power is one of the five initiatives of the Social Investment Programmes of the present administration. It will provide employment opportunities for five hundred thousand graduates as teachers, agriculture extension advisers, health care assistants, civic and adult education instructors in communities across Nigeria.
