Federal Government Says Abuja-Kaduna Train Service To Resume In Two Weeks

The Federal Government has assured its citizens that the Abuja-Kaduna train service will resume operation in less than two weeks.
The Minister of Transportation Mu’azu Jaji Sambo disclosed this on Thursday in Ibadan during a visit to the Railway station in Moniya, his first inspection visit to the 157-km Lagos-Ibadan standard gauge railway.
Sambo said that it is not necessary for him to disclose the tentative date for the resumption of the Abuja-Kaduna train service publicly, saying it might not help in running the service.
He further stated that the federal government will improve security on the railway corridors across the country, to avoid a repeat of the incident that occurred on the Abuja-Kaduna train.
