The Federal Government has pleaded with Health Officials to remain in the country and avoid moving abroad. The Government also reiterated its assurance that measures are being deployed to address the brain drain in Nigeria.
Speaking with newsmen, the Minister of State for Health, Joseph Ekumankama admitted that the mass relocation of health personnel was a problem and was worrisome.
He added that the migration of doctors and nurses abroad is one of the greatest challenges facing the sector presently. He, however, appealed to the Health Officials to remain in Nigeria to see the efforts of the government, noting that in the previous three years the government has released one hundred percent of health budget.
