The federal government has announced its support for the West Africa Conflict and Security Team in its efforts to sustain peace in the north-east affected by insurgency.
The Minister of Interior, Lieutenant-General Abdulrahman Dambazau (Retired), who disclosed this yesterday in Abuja when he played host to a delegation of the team, also stated that the Federal Government is working on how to deploy security operatives to the region to ensure stability.
Head of the delegation, Catherine Weiss, said the team had come to further its conversation on violence mapping and strategic risk assessment to ensure that they holistically win the war.
