The Independent National Electoral Commission today revealed that it had begun an investigation into the claims that Permanent Voter Cards were found in the Anambra State forest.
INEC’s National Commissioner, Festus Okoye, disclosed this today while fielding questions on a television program monitored by newsmen.
Okoye said the investigation was to confirm the authenticity of the claim that PVCs were found in a forest in the state.
He noted that people responsible for the incident must be invited; explaining where and how they found those PVCs because there is need to investigate and know if the PVCs are from the commission or whether it was cloned by some people in order to delegitimize the work of the commission and also delegitimize the electoral process.
