As part of investigations into a money laundering case against a former Special Adviser on Domestic Affairs to former President Jonathan, Waripamowei Dudafa, the EFCC had frozen four accounts, with the ownership being claimed by the former first lady. The discovery of an additional amount, in the former first lady’s Skye Bank account, by the EFCC brings to total, twenty million dollars so far traced to her. Patience has now filed a two hundred million naira fundamental rights enforcement suit against the EFCC and Skye Bank Plc, claiming that the act was used to inconvenience and embarrass her.
