Committee Announces Indefinite Postponement Of Send-Off For Kwara REC

A send-off ceremony planned for the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Kwara State, Mallam Garba Attahiru Madami, has been postponed indefinitely.
The event, scheduled for July 22, 2023, is at the instance of the Committee of Friends of Garba Attahiru Madami to recognize his contributions to credible electoral processes preparatory to the completion of his tenure on July 25, 2023.
This was contained in a statement issued in Ilorin by the Chairman and Assistant Secretary of the Organizing Committee, Mohammed Tunde Akanbi and Abdullateef ‘Lanre Ahmed respectively.
The statement said the rationale behind the planned ceremony is to celebrate Madami for symbolizing integrity, impeccable character, competence and piety among other virtues throughout his tenure as the helmsman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Kwara State.
